How much is the damage excess on a No Birds rental car?
Your responsibility for damage to the rental car is $5,000. Damages may include windscreen damage, tyre damage, lost Satnav and lost keys.
How can I reduce my damage excess?
Our optional $15 a day Damage Fee (for Drivers aged 21-84) reduces your Damage Excess to $0.
That's right, with Damage Waiver you pay nothing in the event of an accident (when you comply with Rental Terms and Conditions).

What does the Damage Waiver cover?
The No Birds Damage Waiver is designed to reduce your financial liability if your rental vehicle is accidentally damaged or stolen during your rental period.
We hope it provides you greater peace of mind by reducing the damage excess and lowering the security bond required at vehicle collection.

Are there any situations where Damage Waiver does not apply?
Yes. The Damage Waiver may not apply if the rental agreement or vehicle usage conditions have been breached.
Examples may include:
- Allowing an unauthorised driver to operate the vehicle
- Driving the vehicle in restricted areas or outside approved areas of use
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Reckless or dangerous driving
- Failing to report an accident or damage as required
- Using the vehicle in a manner not permitted under the rental agreement
